Rules & Regulations

The City of Poway continues to comply with state and county public health orders to keep our community safe. This includes modifications, cancellations, and postponement of many city events and services. View updates on our Community Services pages.

Welcome to Poway Community Park! For your enjoyment, we ask that you please remember the following:

  • Community Park is open from sunrise to sunset.
  • Park users assume all risks related to park use.
  • All City, state, and federal laws must be followed.
  • All lawful directives of park staff or any employee of the City of Poway must be followed.
  • Skateboards, rollerblades, bicycles, and scooters are not allowed in pedestrian areas.
  • Glass containers are not allowed in City parks.
  • Smoking is not allowed in City parks except in designated areas.
  • Alcohol is not allowed in the park between 9:00 p.m. and 10:00 a.m..
  • Alcohol is not allowed in City parking lots and playgrounds at all times.
  • Youth 7 and younger must be supervised by an adult while in the park.
  • Vehicles are not allowed in the park except in designated parking lots.
  • Dogs must be kept on a leash at all times except in the designated Dog Park. Dog owners are responsible for cleaning up after their dogs.
  • Permits are required for all organized group use of sports fields and park facilities. To reserve a sports field or park facility for organized group use, please contact the Community Services Department located at:
