Fishing

Wednesday, Aug. 5: Lake Poway will be closed for boating and fishing for routine algae control at the lake. The treatment to remove algae does not harm fish or wildlife, but it does require a 24-hour closure before lake activities can resume.

The Lake Poway Recreational Area will remain open; access to hiking trails will not be affected. Boating and fishing activities will reopen at 7 a.m. on Thursday, Aug. 6. Learn more.
