November 3, 2020 General Election - COVID-19 Update
Pursuant to Executive Order N-64-20 (PDF), every Californian who is eligible to vote in the November 3, 2020 General Election shall receive a vote-by-mail ballot. An update will be provided once the details of in-person voting and drop-off locations have been configured by the San Diego County Registrar of Voters.
Residents may register to vote at any time. If a qualified voter is not registered to vote and wants to vote in a particular election, the qualified voter must be registered at least 15 days prior to the election.
Voter registration requirements: U.S. Citizen and 18 years of age on or before Election Day.
Voter registration forms are also available at the City Clerk's Office, U.S. Post Offices, public libraries, and the Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV).
The San Diego County Registrar of Voters is offering a new service for the upcoming election cycle. In addition to the convenience of voting by mail, voters can sign up to receive their sample ballot and voter information pamphlet electronically.
